I am a writer. 

Those words have taken many years to be accurate, but I like the way they sound. Being a writer was not my lifelong dream. I struggled to find my way to it, and the experiences I had along the road shaped my writing voice.

Born in Mexico, in a small beach town, the Pacific Ocean was my backyard until I was six years old. Now Lake Michigan is my ocean. Waves and beaches make me feel safe. I love the water, windows, and dramatic photographs.
